Satan the minister of music!

Ezekiel 28:13

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

This is a description of satan in the book of Ezekiel. Tabrets refer to drums or percussion instruments. Pipes referring to wind instruments that produce sound. We can come to the conclusion in this passage that satan was created with musical instruments being part of his anatomy. This being true one can come to the conclusion that satan was a musician.

As we know angels worship God day and night. Satan was called the "anointed cherub" so he like all the other angels would have worshiped day and night as well.

Here is an exert from

We can also arrive at a good conclusion as to why he had this apparatus built in him. In Ezekiel 28:14 he is called the "anointed cherub that covereth." In Ezekiel 10:1-22 there are four cherubim who stand at the four corners of the throne of God. Since "the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub" (Ezekiel 10:4), the cherubim were there to give glory and praise to the Lord. But here we see no cherub covering the throne. That had been the job of Satan as the anointed cherub that covered. He would be the fifth cherub and his job would have been to glorify God. It is interesting that the most powerful of God's heavenly creatures is the one who most prominently gives glory and praise to God. In one sense therefore, Satan was the heavenly choir director and he led the songs of praise to the Lord that still ring in heaven. The inbuilt tabrets and pipes would definitely come in handy here.

It would be a wise conclusion that satan was in charge of the music or at least played a great role in the music of the heavens. How could having this knowledge, talent, and experience affect his impact and control of the music industry now? Not only in secular music but in Christian hip hop as well as contemporary gospel music.

I can say this, I have definitely seen satan's hands all over the music industry. This doesn't shock me for we all know that the world is his for a short time. What does bother me greatly is the fact of how much influence he has in Christian music. I suppose this shouldn't be a shock as we see the influence he has in the churches especially now a days.

The secular music industry today promotes sex, drugs, and violence. This especially being the case in Hip-Hop music. We watch and listen as almost every rapper talks about popping molly, having sex with different girls and toting pistols and shooting people. This is a powerful form of programming that is molding the minds of the youth.

I won't go in detail of how deep satan's hands really are and the different ways this music and culture programs people but I will say this, demons are attached to this music and where ever the music is, so are the demons.

What I do want to talk about is Christian music and the influence secular music has on it. Again specifically speaking about Christian Hip Hop however not limited to.

I am new to CHH however I am not new to hip hop in general. I have been rapping for decades and have been immersed in the hip hop culture. My music was worldly and I fitted right in with the agenda of the powers of darkness which control the music industry.

Now that I have rededicated my life to Christ and now in the CHH genre of music I can see a clear difference in certain artist. Some CHH artist seem to cross the line between gospel rap and worldly rap. I know as an artist we want to appeal to the masses but we have to be careful not to cross over to the other side.

There should be no reason to push the lines between gospel rap and secular rap to where it's hard to distinguish the difference other then the fact that you mention the word God or Jesus in a line or two.

I saw a "Christian" music video of some local CHH artist a few months ago and I was confused as to what I was watching. It was a collaborative video with various different CHH artist. I guess the theme was zombie apocalypse but I couldn't understand why the Christian rappers had there face painted like zombies looking like they were out of a haunted house or the next horror film.

I see other CHH rappers who look like thugs on the street yelling angry lyrics and mean muggin the cameras on videos. Or those that the lyrics seem as the intent to relay God's glory is more of just a gimmick then being passionate about truly expressing the goodness of God and the power of salvation as to set free, and lead people to be saved.

The bible says the LOVE of money is the root to all evil. So many pastors who were righteous men of God sold out for money and power. Unfortunately the same is true to some CHH artist.

We live in this world but not of this world. We are to be set apart from the world and it's wicked ways as well as it's wicked music. Satan is using music to cause great destruction, and to capture many souls to hell. He uses his heavenly knowledge of music and his personal experience to deceive the masses and to influence mankind including God's people. Let's draw a line in the sand and stand uncompromisingly for God and create new songs that glorify God and lead the masses to Christ.

Let's pray for discernment to see the tricks and devices of satan so we won't be fooled by music that roots are from a place not honoring to God being mascaraed as Christian hip hop.

Music is a powerful tool. Many who were in the occult but now saved talk about how music was used as the instrument to send demons into people and to help perform terrible wicked acts. Satan has had a long time to perfect his craft and he has mastered music. Don't let it or the enemy master you!

I will be writing many more posts getting into further detail of how satan uses music in this day and time. Stay posted for more and subscribe to my email list so you don't miss out.

God bless
